It was difficult to get a good photo but here’s a look from a couple of angles….

IMG 3301

Those are actually green roses!IMG 3304

I was so thrilled to see Danielle Rudeen, Jim Folsom’s #1 everything, that I was actually gleeful!  Danielle (everyone calls her Danny) has been so kind to me throughout the 20 (correct) years that I’ve taught Brush painting at the Huntington.  We go back so far… she & the Botanical staff were working out of trailers and I was teaching in what was called ‘The Garage’ and is now the Boone Gallery.  So many wonderful memories!!! Anyway, I was so happy to show Danielle Amy’s beautiful work……I’m sooooo proud of her!IMG 3305

This may look familiar to you.  It was great fun looking about & finding my cards. (These are in the Chinese section along with my book ’The Ch’i of the Brush’.)

O.K. Brush painters….these wonderful brushes are for sale……perfect for your brush holders.

Janet Crockett, the Store Manager/Buyer has the most amazing eye.  I am in awe of her taste and ability to find the most fantastic things and beyond grateful to have a small part in this wondrous assortment of treasures. ( Yes, I did go shopping and could scarcely contain myself!)  Here’s a photo of amazing Janet.

She was constantly in motion, checking everything out and helping everyone, including myself.  Here’s Janet discussing an arrangement with Jared.  I need to stay far away from him as he encourages my shopping way too much!IMG 3321

I did not do the following 2 cards but love them just the same!IMG 3316

This one is found in the ‘Book Section’

IMG 3318

So cool…..There is also a bracelet made up of old typewriter keys……love it!

IMG 3317

This is where I spied Sally Beaudette and asked her if she was stalking me.  I mean two days in a row?  Come on!  (She probably wanted to ask me the same)…

IMG 3320

Here’s the Children’s Section….love the tree with all the animals in it!

After recently seeing the Route 66 exhibit with Carol Soucek King at the Autry Museum this was absolutely perfect for her! (I stopped by to deliver this on my way home.)
