……..leading up to the 4th the birthday celebrating continued and it’s way past May 18th.  I must say this has been the longest in recorded history.  I thought that Tomiko had already done the birthday thing for me but she insisted no.  First there was a stop to see Walter, the ‘Sports Medicine Guy’ at Tomiko’s suggestion.  Don’t be creeped out by the location or interior, this guy knows his stuff and you will scream until he gets you to say aaahhhhhhhh!  Amazing!

On to Tomiko’s to open presents……..

017  pet kitty…..

016

and visit ‘Nan Rae Art’ as Tomiko has been a collector for oh so many years.

021

As we were leaving I had to ask her about the CHAIR……

023

Can’t see it?  Try this……

024

I can’t even imagine how Emerick got it up there but he and his friends do climb up and sit a spell.  So many ‘Huck Finn’ adventures go on there that it’s always fun to be regaled.

On to dinner in Pasadena…..at Santorini’s where they have amazingly good Greek food but they don’t like to be called a ‘Greek’ restaurant preferring Mediterranean.  Go figure…

027

028

Must have Tutti Gelati….

032

Sooooooooo good!

031

Then, because I’m not eating enough, Trudy did the birthday thing next day at Americana!

I just got an e-mail that she & Jeff will be away for 51 days going to Turkey and assorted places.  I don’t quite know how to break it to Kita!!!

046

Of course we went to Bar Verde where Manager Hiro gave us a complimentary Ahi tuna treat!

055

Next we settled on my new favorite….Scallops w/Risotto….yummy!

058

……what a refreshing dessert! Where’s the candle?

059

Cuties along the way!

051

….and this adorable little one is Romi, the charming daughter of a lovely girl from Singapore!

054

Meanwhile, Francisco’s worker bee’s have been busy at the house all week.

063

Finally, on to the 4th.  I was invited to a party at our new neighbor’s on the point.  They are so lovely and I was sorry to only stay for a quick ‘tour’ and then home.

Can you imagine…..there’s an infinity pool!

122

And because Marine works for Disney, little Alyssa’s room is a Disney dream!

092

096

093

090

Soooooo cute!

132

I love this kitchen!  There’s even a faucet over the stove to fill your pasta pot! I even got to meet Marine’s mom (back to the camera) who is nice as can be!

121

Eliza, Marine’s younger sister lives in NYC and writes a column for Glamour Magazine…..and here’s Alex.

088

Are you still here?  This is getting soooo long! Back at the house….

083

All set……let’s party!

069 Time to make my ‘specialty’….grilled cheese on sourdough with bacon, heirloom tomatoes and a ton of butter!

143

Happily Lynne joined us and she & mom had a great time together!

147

Afterwards we watched TV waiting for the fireworks show to begin at 9:00. Kita wouldn’t leave Lynne alone!

156

Let the show begin….

176

So cute……

182

Everyone eventually does this to me….

164 Oh and you have to see Kim’s shoes and socks…

072

077

Saturday it was time for Calligraphy with Shantien ‘Tom’ Chow!
