January was here and gone way too fast. Korean dramas were put on the back burner in order to watch every single James Bond Movie from Dr. No with Sean Connery to the 27th Bond film, No Time to Die with Daniel Craig. It was equal to doing a ‘Evolution of Man’ Master’s Thesis!

There were many trips to Julienne’s… especially for candied bacon… an addiction!

Every Thursday evening, it’s great fun to join in to David Bender’s ‘Storytelling Group’ where we’re all challenged to come up with a short story, preferably one we’ve written. It’s quite a challenge and I must tell you everyone in the group, myself excluded, is as smart as can be!

I was thrilled beyond description that Steve Benson, President of the Music Center Foundation chose my book “That’s Just What I Needed Today” to send to all donors to the Music Center! WOW!!!

And what fun to be a guest for “Jamie” at the Ahmanson and to relax during intermission in the Founder’s Room.

Sweet Violet invited me and Veronica to a special day beginning with a 12 item Dim Sum at Grand Harbor that really lived up to it’s name as it really was grand!

Followed by a trip to Daiso Japan, the most interesting novelty store and then TS Emporium to satisfy the foodie in us!

Thank you dear Violet for a beautiful, memorable day!

I was delighted to write the blurb on the back of Sumi-e artist Casey Shannon’s new book “The Way To Sumi-e” and to receive my copy.

Not to neglect the January culinary news, Awesome Miss Judith sent me “Nom Nom Paleo Let’s Go!” which looks absolutely amazing & I can’t wait to delve into it!

This isn’t one of the recipes but it looks soooo yummy I wanted to show you!

After literally months of waiting I was overjoyed to get back my Deer Chaser that wonderful Japanese Gardner Jeffrey gave me so many years ago. Finally repaired and working I was able to toss the replacement Jimmy had installed.

Now that get’s me remembering Yoshida-san, my twice yearly Japanese gardner whose main job is working on the beautiful Pine trees. This time he got all involved with taking out anything that didn’t speak to him… ha!

I’m sure you’ll agree that nothing says spring like a trip to Armstrong’s… even if it’s early January.

Did I ever tell you how much I love doing the Meditations each month for Carol Soucek King’s Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life?

I was so delighted to connect Sweet Maryam with Camerata Pacifica’s brilliant Artistic Director Adrian Spence.

And of course my greatest joy, the Brush painting lessons that I now do on Crowdcast each month.

May each golden day greet you with joy!
