Dr. Cleo started the month with a visit to the studio!

Checking in for the Cosi Fan Tutte dress rehersal.

A lovely dinner for the Bella Voce Society followed.

Two favorites….Steve Benson, President of the Music Center Foundation and dear Diane!

Saw Old Friends just in time before it left!

Veronica was really looking forward to seeing Lea Salonga…

Next was the technical rehearsal for wondrous Carol Soucek King’s “Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life.”

Then, it was off to see gifted Dave Hanson’s Mosaic exhibition at the GEO Gallery. I was lucky enough to snag 3 pieces!

Look who we saw going in as we were leaving….

Back we went….

By now it was getting close to dinner time, so we asked Curtis and Yi-Lin to come over for dinner, and we’d watch the new Dylan movie….They absolutely insisted on getting the pizza….from yummy Little Goat….and so it went.

Sometimes you forget exactly how delicious this combo is!

Brilliant Carol Soucek King’s Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life was marvelous. Carol is always so kind and generous to mention my books.

My take-a-way…Art is an expression of what it means to be human. Also, art has always been a tool for elevating experiences & transforming how we see…if you can imagine it – you can build it. Plus, making new ways of seeing. And from Architect Jan Furey Muntz, “As an architect…searching for possibilities, use everything to solve a problem.”

What a joy to volunteer for three days at the Children’s Festival. Each year, high school students from all of LA Unified are invited to a day at the Music Center, where they see a dance performance. Afterward, they all dance in the Plaza! I got to be inside the Pavillion, welcoming the students as they came in.

Every student is given a book about the Music Center.

Did you ever notice the stunning screen partially seen in the photo above?

Outside greeters….Look at Sweet Peggy’s shoes!

Yea Team!

Pure joy!

The teachers are great!

Each day, after the performances, we were treated to lunch in the Founder’s Room.

Valerie even had prizes…I won one of the table settings!

All together now…

And so ended a perfect time….

Yet another all-time favorite thing to do is being a vendor at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Brand Park!

Charlie,one of Somi’s friends…

Soooo excited!

Special thanks to Jhonny for helping to set up and then close down.

Sweeties Carol and Patricia spied the only Cherry tree in the park…right at my booth!

Thank you lovely Marine for stopping by.

And dear Eileen…

In between talking to everyone, I demonstrated most of the time…

Soooo happy…

Until next year…

Lovely Carol Soucek King picked me up for our drive to the California Club, celebrating Michael Lindsay’s life.

It was bittersweet being with precious Hildegard, remembering Michael, a true Prince of a man. Elegant, brilliant and always kind! Son Michael Jr. gave the most touching remembrance of his father.

They were awesome Jan Furey Muntz’s neighbors.

Just wait ’till I tell you about the most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for me. To be continued…

What a wonderful month. Thank you so much for sharing. I’m now into my second month of retirement and loving it. I’m in Northern California heading to Oregon next and then I’ll be in Spain for the summer. I miss you and look forward to seeing you in the fall, much love.❤️
