Absolutely nothing brings more joy to an artist than when a collector falls in love with their work. This happened to Janice, and she could not get this painting out of her mind.

When hubby Mitch approved the purchase, it was great fun watching the two of them entranced by the work and asking questions about its creation.

It’s always great fun going to Mosaic Artist Dave Hanson’s shows…besides, I needed another chicken!

Dave introduced me to two recent graduates of Woodbury University who had curated a student exhibition in the Nan Rae Gallery there.

Signing in for the pre-show dinner at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion before opening night of Hamlet at the Mark Taper.

Always delighted to see Awesome Terri Childs.

And sweet Diane with dear Peggy!

On to the show at the Mark Taper.

Did someone say lunch?

How cute is this?

My artwork looks so perfect here…it will soon be framed.

What an elegant table setting.

And Terri, our most elegant hostess.

Co-hostess, delightful Kirsten.

Signing in for the Music Center’s Spotlight Grand Gala.

Sweet Becky Birdsong from the Music Center.

Awesome Steve Benson, President of the Music Center Foundation. Yikes, did I shrink?

Dear Susan, also from the Music Center.

How sweet is this? Lovely Lorri and Steve.

I love being able to support the Music Center’s Spotlight Program as it’s committed to nurturing young people and transforming their lives.

Friends for almost 30 years, it was great fun comparing notes on our favorites with author Lisa See.

Bravo Lovely Valerie for supporting the California Art Club. Angel and I were delighted.

Elaine Adams, powerhouse of the Club.

It’s hard to believe I’ve known Peter Adams for over forty years… back when he was apprentice to Theodore Lutkis and I was a bewildered student (briefly). Peter is the same fine gentleman he was then.

Group shot.

Master Storyteller David Bender gave the main Presentation on the topic of “Humor.”

As always, dinner later that evening at El Portal, enjoyed by the “Stars” of the Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life!

Lovely Maggie was in town being a new resident in Kentucky so dear Ralph and Kathy treated us to a feast at Panda Inn in Pasadena. If you haven’t been there, it’s the original restaurant which was completely renovated and serves the most delicious Chinese food ever!

There was more to come.

There’s quite a bit more to come in June so stay tuned.
