Next to Thanksgiving, the 4th of July is my all-time favorite for celebrating, hosting friends, playing games with prizes, and having an all-around joyful time! This year was no exception…with preparations beginning a week ahead.
Somi went to Go Hollywood Pet Center to get her summer cut and be all fluffed for the party.
She was definitely ready to party!

Veronica does the decorating and said that this year was simple! We always order new stuff but there are a ton of things from years past. Each year looks different.
Gift bags for everyone. This one had a delightful fan that lit up. The tags were from the characturist we had last year.

And then we’re ready. I was so delighted that Awesome Jan could make it, as she is recovering from a nasty fall.

The next hour, Veronica and I were cheffing in the kitchen, making grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon and tomatoes. And then dinner time.

After the games it was time for gelato thanks to dear Carol.

Awesome Brenda, Emmy Award Winning Stylist for “The Nanny,”and author of “The Silhouette Solution,” had so much to talk about with Tania, Walt Disney’s personal designer and creator of the Disney “Purple Wallpaper.”
Maddie wanted her photo taken with Brenda as she and her sister are huge fans.
