Progress report: This is where the first digging began…

Zoot Velasco, Interim Exec. Dir. of Pasadena Heritage, arts educator, leadership trainer of award-winning cultural programs in state prisons, was the main speaker for Carol Soucek King’s “Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life.” “Reclaiming Narrative: Our Story as Our Brand.”


Afterwards, we were treated to dinner at El Portal in Pasadena.

Valerie Foster Hoffman invited me to the annual “Table Top” at the California Club.




Great fun getting ideas from the various exhibitors and seeing many friends.




After lunch there was a terrific lecture by designer extraordinaire Marshall Watson based on his book “Defining Elegance”.

Progress report.

The plumbers cut into the air conditioning line for the studio and now we wait for that repair before continuing on. I’m becoming an expert on drainage systems!

Thenext day, after the Holiday market we went to a delightful Nutcracker Tea at the Waldorf Astoria to support LA Ballet.

We were treated to a shortened performance of the Nutcracker with all the children sitting in front of the dancers. So charming!
