Dinner under the stars at the Music Center’s Jerry Moss Plaza for a Donor Appreciation celebration dinner.
First, there was lots of meet and greet with drinks and tasty nom noms to nibble. I used to think I was tall!

With Steven T. Benson, President of the Music Center Foundation, host of this wonderful evening!

Dear Peggy told me how inspired she was reading “What If…” sent to her by Steve as a thank you for her contribution to the Music Center. It’s always such fun seeing her. This looks like battle of the scarves!!!

I always love time with Lorri Benson, Emmy award winner as Senior Producer for Donahue and writer of the touching book “To Have and Not to Hold.” Amy fondly remembers going to Lorri’s book signing.

Dinner was lovely…

And then we were treated to performances by the LA Phil…

The LA Opera’s Young Artists…Two sopranos singing my favorite, the Flower Duet from Lakmé and of course, the song Charles and I had at our wedding….”Someone to Watch Over Me.” Awwwww……..

The Los Angeles Master Chorale…

And the wonderful Pacifico Dance Company…

On to the lovely Heritage Society Luncheon at the Huntington Botanical Gardens. “If Plants Could Talk: A Living Plant Collection With Stories to Tell.”

But first…meet and greet time.

It’s always great fun seeing Lenore ‘Nino’ Wong. I know, I’m wearing the same thing…However, the blouse is different!

And of course Nicole Cavender, brilliant Botanical Director…and yes, I am getting shorter!

Knowledgeable Elee Wood, Director of Education…

And of course, President Karen R. Lawrence…perhaps not!

The Three Amigos. It’s almost impossible to get a photo of these two!

It was a wonderful time and I was so delighted to see brilliant Robert Hori on our way out.

I’m thinking this has gone on way too long so the birthday news will just have to wait.
Wishing you many delightful surprises!
