How wonderful to begin October with brunch at the Dorothy Chandler and hearing Director Snehal Desai and Producing Director Doug Baker give us insight into the 2023-24 Season’s exciting shows coming to the Ahmanson, Mark Taper Forum & Kirk Douglas Theatre!

I dearly love the Darlings. They are the sweetest couple and have the most appropriate name. Can’t wait for their Christmas party & seeing their 150 Nutcrackers!

We had so many questions for Artistic Director Snehal Desai.

Anyone else following Taylor Swift & Travis Kelse?

No? well O.K. then….Time to celebrate Laurie Pie’s birthday at Din Tai Fong!

Great fun going to the opening of ‘HADESTOWN.’ We saw it last year, and it was interesting to compare the two productions.

What cuties!

Opening nights are always so exciting!

Artistic Director Snehal Desai & Producing Director Doug Baker were there to cheer on the cast!

And cookies….

This absolutely made my night!

What an absolutely fabulous time at the Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga, celebrating Sweet Patricia and Awesome Curtis’s birthdays!
The welcoming committee…

I had always wanted to go there. The setting is just magical.

These two are just too cute!

The buffet is the very best, and I’m afraid I overdid it. The eggs Benedict was sensational!

Time for cake! (It’s all about the candles.)

The next day was Sunday and time for dear Carol Soucek King’s ‘Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life’ on Zoom.

This month featured ‘A Love Affair with Residental Treasures: Five Classics by Myron Hunt‘ sponsored by FORT LA (Friends of Residential Treasures Los Angeles), founded by filmmaker/philanthropist Russell Brown. Architect Jan Furey Muntz did inciteful interviews of the homeowners, all filmed by award-winning photographer & documentarian Curtis McElhinney!

Later that evening dear Carol again treated her ‘Salon Stars’ to a delightful dinner at El Portal!

Bravo Sherry Dewane for another wonderful ‘Play Review’ luncheon at Wilshire Country Club.

Author Aimee Liu took us on a marvelous journey in her book ‘Glorious Boy.’

With the bonus of a yummy lunch!

Thank you dear Carol for driving. Kita especially loved your spending time with her.

It’s time for the Huntington’s Heritage Society Fall Reception.

Always a joy seeing Cris Lutz.

Amazing Julie from Julienne’s.

Wonderful welcoming new Heritage Society members brilliant Mikhail and Courtney Gordon. It was wonderful talking with them.

Dear Amy is always a joy.

Finished hanging all the artwork at Ai Plus Private Gallery & looking forward to seeing you and having a delightful time Sunday!

Thank you, dear Nan, for reviewing these wondrous happenings! So grateful to be present at some, and to learn about the others! You keep us all in touch with The Best – and even my own neighbors! Live and Faith, Carol
