Each year I’m determined to really enjoy summer and then find it’s October and I wonder what happened. The upside to that is beginning the month with the Huntington Botanical Garden’s Mid Autumn Moon Festival where we have a booth and get to see many of my wonderful collectors and greet new people.

Veronica magically sets up our booth and that’s no small endeavor.

We even have a board where people can try out brushes using only water. The strokes then dry quickly and disappear.

It’s always a joy to see Nino Wong, Head of the Docents in the Chinese Garden. She worked so hard at this event.

So much love!

Miller and Jetty Wong are always a delight!

Lovely Carol Soucek King is consistently so supportive!

I admire Jan more than words can say. She always is supportive and makes it a point to show up!

Curtis and Yi-Lin are the cutest!

Nino arranged for a special birthday celebration for Curtis in the Jade Court so I dashed over from my booth!

I so love watching people enjoy my art.

The Chinese Garden was so beautiful and watching the “Special Moon” over the lake was so peaceful.

Special thanks to dear Curtis and Yi-Lin for helping us pack up…it’s quite a job!

Lynsey you are awesome…three hard days and you’re still smiling! Thank you for everything.

We love movie night with Curtis and Yi-Lin. They bring the dinner and we supply the popcorn and movies!

However, because Curtis had a bithday earlier that week we were delighted to get a cake!

We also had pie they brought from Pie n’ Burger in Pasadena. Soooo Good!

We had a visitor who wanted to move in, doing his business on the patio and troubling Somi to no end. Two raccoons appeared during the movie so this is really turning into a wild life sanctuary.

Lovely Maggie was back in town and invited us along with Ralph and Kathy and Diane to lunch at the original Panda Inn in Pasadena. It’s been recently completely overhauled and the food is fabulous!

The Salon for the Spiritually Creative Life is always so meaningful and inspiring and none more so than guest speaker Nancy Santullo, Founder and Executive Director of Rainforest Flow. Her presentation: “A Blessed Journey with the People of the Amazon.” “It’s all about Love.”

Thank you most caring Carol Soucek King!

As always, dear Carol’s dinner at El Portal that evening was delightful!

Watch for more of wonderful October to come…
