April was so very difficult that I’m going to skip right past it to delightful May. Perhaps it’s because May is my birthday month but I really think there’s so much more to look forward to in the month.
Veronica pulled several landscapes for collector Pam to select from and with all that, she knew immediately which one she wanted. I’m so delighted!
Awesome Carol Soucek King’s “Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life” fell on Mother’s Day this year. As always, dear Carol is so supportive of the books I created.
The main speaker for the Salon was Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Pamela Tom. Pam’s brilliant documentary “TYRUS’ about Chinese American artist and Disney Legend Tyrus Wong premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and on the 2017 Emmy-nominated season of PBS’s American Masters series. My long friendship with Pam has been one of my great joys, and being able to have a small part in supporting this fine work was an honor. I loved our National Treasure and will never forget the day he visited my studio!
I was glad I could attend the Huntington’s Heritage Society’s spring luncheon.
