The month began wonderfully with Sweet Lynne and Sandie Girl having a delightful birthday lunch for Veronica at Din Tai Fung’s newest restaurant in Glendale.

I think they ordered everything!

You have to see this most magical, lovely birthday cake…

Happiest of Birthdays, Awesome Veronica!

So sweet!

Every year there’s a ‘Tabletops’ Luncheon at the California Club where various shops decorate a table to inspire and delight. It’s great fun !

After viewing all the tabletops, there was a lovely luncheon and a presentation by Michael Harold and Quinn Peeper, authors of the stunning book “Classical Shindig,” which shows these hosts and their lavish parties in their New Orleans Garden District home.Garden District home.

Thank you Sweet Alyce for including me in such a lovely day and being able to join in celebrating your birthday.

Well, no more Dodger’s to watch for a while so it’s on to football.

I really like the Kansas City Chief’s. Love coach Andy Reid…

It probably goes without saying that Patrick Mahomes is a great quarterback…

But let’s be real, isn’t the most fun seeing Taylor Swift watching Travis Kelse?

A lovely luncheon at Michelin-starred Knife Pleat in the South Coast Plaza. If I keep this up, there will be no more shopping in my closet.

Afterward, there were so many fabulous shops to see, but I chose a rather serendipitous art experience. Here’s artisan Thing Nguyen at Moynat Paris using acrylics to paint on bags.

We had the most delightful chat and when I left I got this photo for my memory book!

Bravo Awesome Carol Soucek King for another inspiring Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life, this month being on Healing with the emphasis from guest speaker Ditoh Rohrig being “Taking Care of Yourself”.

“May you be at peace…May your heart open…May you awaken to the light of your own true nature and may you be healed and may we be healed and may we be a source of healing for others.”
Sweet Patricia’s poem fit perfectly!

HEALING
One feels immense pain after losing a loved one;
life’s tides tossing you through its rough waters.
In time, the pain lessens, rolling you gently back to shore.
After such a tumultuous experience,
not knowing what was up or down,
life’s guiding compass shows you direction once more.
It begins with moonlight when looking up at the sky,
its distance beckoned you to its twilight glory.
A sense of rebirth occurs, bathing you in its starlit canopy.
The sun rises, nourishing the earth’s living,
plants, animals, and people.
Warming one’s heart to believe you can fly up to
clouds once more.
The cycle continues day after day, year after year,
throughout eternity.
Life’s journey of healing, of trusting, and of believing once more.

That evening, Generous Carol treated her “Stars” to a wonderful dinner at El Portal in Pasadena.

I always learn so much at my monthly dinners with brilliant Tom Backer.

Author, scholar, and educator Karen Fang discussed her book, “Background Artist, The Life and Work of Cyrus Wong,” with moderator Pamela Tom, the creator of the definitive film on Tyrus, a standard classic on PBC for Asian Pacific Month.

Pam and I have been dear friends for longer than I can remember and it was a joy to support her amazing film.

I was so happy to see Tai Ling Wong and sharing the memorable time when she brought Tyrus to my studio!

Then there was the Fall Reception for the Huntington’s Heritage Society.

It’s always a delight to see Cris Lutz.

Both Randy Schulman and Cris told me I missed hearing President Karen mention me in her talk. (Got there late.)

Afterwards we delivered belated Haloween treats to adorable Emilia and David.

We had a very little dinner celebrating our awesome friend Curtis McElhinney.

Time to celebrate brilliant Jan Furey Muntz at Via Selfie.

The next day we went to visit Precious Marguerite.

Afterwards Jan, Curtis and Yi-Lin came over for pizza and to watch Coppola’s new film Megalopolis.

We celebrated Jan’s birthday again!!!

Bravo, Lorri Antosz Benson, for your latest book, “Adoptees Who Changed the World,” the third in your excellent adoption series. I loved “Adopting Hope” and “To Have & Not Hold.”

Dear Miss Judith, my template for doing good and Sweet Eileen came by to do some early Christmas shopping and have Veronica set up Judith’s Christmas cards.

The dress rehearsal for “Scat!…The Complez ives of Al & Dot, Dot & Al Zollar” was captivating with fantastic dancing and spectacular singing. It’s always wonderful seeing amazing Rob Carson!

Sign in please.

So much to do to get ready for the Huntington Holiday Market. Jhonny helped load up his car.

Veronica did a beautiful job of setting up our booth.

Thank you Sweet Lynne for the beautiful orchid.

Special thanks to Valerie Foster Hoffman for stopping by and to everyone who supported this event.

So cute!

This woman keeps “Just What I Needed Today” on her phone and showed me one of the inspirational quotes she reads each day. I was so touched.

Darling Luca and his parents Nora (Yi-Lin’s sister) and Ryan drove down from San Francisco and first stop was seeing me!

Thank you Awesome Lynsey for a wonderful show!

So very grateful Curtis, Yi-Lin and his family helped us close up.

Now it’s on to my favorite gathering…..Thanksgiving!

Wishing you all the blessings Thanksgiving can hold!
